Luke 4:18-19 (NIV) [Ref: Isaiah 61:1-2] “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim FREEDOM for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed FREE, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”

It is the Lord's desire for us all to live free -- free from sin, deception, oppression, and all that holds us back from walking in the fullness of what Christ returned to us. But the abuse of freedom results in the loss of freedom. Abuse spiritual laws (by sinning) and we lose freedom, because he who sins is a slave to sin. (John 8:34) Abuse the law of the land and we lose freedom -- we go to jail, lose money, lose relationships, the law may even be changed to remove more of our freedom. Abuse freedom as individuals, we lose freedom individually. Abuse freedom in mass, we lose freedom in mass. Freedom with responsibility is essential. If we abuse our freedoms, we will surely lose them.

Father, we pray for this nation (USA) and the world. Father flood this nation, and the world, with your Holy Spirit. We speak peace to the hearts and minds of people. We bind the spirits of chaos, anger, hatred, revenge, and we release ministering angels to minister to the people, and warring angels to war in the heavenlies over this nation and the world. Father, turn the hearts of people to peace and love for their fellow man -- turn them to You Father. In Jesus Name, amen.

Proverbs 4:23 (NIV) Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.

There are those who seek to create, foster and fuel division and strife. They incense people against people, and stir up anger, hatred and distrust for their own purposes. But they can only be successful if you give yourself over to it. GUARD YOUR HEART! Don't be a party to those who stir up strife, and don't listen to those who proclaim it. Stay close to God, hide His Word in your heart (Psalm 119:11) and walk in peace, love and kindness to all. Don't allow strife to enter -- it will change you, and take you places you don't want to go. Above all else, guard your heart!

Catholic, Protestant, Baptist, Mormon, Pentecostal, Nondenominational, or something else... Whatever we may be, so long as we be in Christ, stand together. Don't launch arrows at those who believe differently, or hold a knife to the throat of your brother. There are enough forces working to tear the Church apart -- stop helping them. Maintain unity in Christ, granting grace to one other as Jesus would -- and in doing so, be true followers of Christ.

Luke 11:17 (NIV) Any kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and a house divided against itself will fall.

There are two kinds of ministers (people) who offend. The first are those who minister God's word to a need in a person's life in a timely and appropriate manner in order to set them free from bondage. The second are those who administer God's word telling people whatever they think or feel without regard for anyone, without considering their actions, and do so blindly in the name of truth. Both can deliver seemingly the same message, but there is a difference between the double-edged sword that divides the soul and the spirit, and the wild piercing jabs of a knife. With one, it is the word that offends. With the other it is the person that offends.
